28th Dec 2010 • Match Results, 2011 Licences Now In Shops
The new 2011 licences are now in the shops and are valid from the date of purchase until 31st December 2011. Prices have been raised for the first time in several years, with Adult Membership now costing £18 and Concessionary Membership now £9.
The Mervyn Holmes Challenge Bowl was held on the Kennet & Avon Canal at Harding's Bridge on 23rd October 2010. The winner was Mike Taylor, who retained the Rosebowl with 2lb 12oz.
The Club Match on 13th November 2010 at Silver Springs, Congresbury, was won by George Clark with 22lb of Carp and Chub. Tight lines for 2011.
The 2011 All-Night Carp Series at Century Old Pond will commence on Saturday 26th March 2011. The series will consist of four rounds, with each Match now lasting for 24 hours. The draw will take place at 7:15am on the Saturday.
A total of nine places are available. Entry fee is £15, with £10 going towards the prize fund and a £5 pegging fee. Fees for the whole series (£60) are payable at the draw for the first Match.
Members wishing to enter the Series should contact George on 07888 330495. A draw will take place at the February Committee meeting to determine the nine anglers for the Series, with each being notified by the end of February.
18th Oct 2010 • Christmas Match Details, River Avon Result, 2011 Match Dates
The recent Club Match on the Crane stretch of the River Avon was won by Bob Teakle with 2lb 15oz. The Match calendar has now been updated to include dates for 2011. The All-Night Carp Series fixtures will be added in due course.
A Match has been arranged for Saturday 13th November at Silver Springs, Congresbury, drawing at 9am, fishing 10am to 3:30pm. Entry fee is £7, with £10 pools. Lakeside breakfast can be pre-ordered. A total of 15 places are available. Please contact Phil on 07973 736519 for more info.
The 2010 Christmas Match will be held on Century Old Pond over two Saturdays - 4th and 11th of December. Ten places are available in each Match. The entrant with the highest single weight over the two contests will be the winner of the George Bingham Shield.
15th Oct 2010 • A.G.M. Pictures, Club Match Result, Forthcoming Matches
The winner of the latest Club Match at Century Island Pond on 25th September was Adam Smith with 16lb 5oz. Adam's win secured him the Match Angler of the Year award, after winning a total of 4 matches throughout the season. Well fished Adam.

A Club Match will be held tomorrow (16th October) on the Crane Stretch of the River Avon. Draw takes place at 8:30am, fishing 10am to 3:30pm. 16th Sep 2010 • Reduced Membership Prices Until End Of Year, A.G.M. Details
Keynsham A.A. Membership prices have now been lowered until the end of the year. Adult Membership is reduced to £10, Junior/Disabled/Senior Citizens is down to £5. New licences for 2011 will be available from late October. The Annual General Meeting will take place at Keynsham Cricket Club on 4th October at 7:30pm.
15th Aug 2010 • All-Night Carp Series Round 4 Result
Round 4 of the 2010 All-Night Carp Series at Century Ponds was won by John Nash who landed 5 fish for 51lb 1oz from peg 3. The overall winner of the 2010 Series was George Clark who landed 190lb 15oz of Carp over the 4 Rounds. Details of the 2011 Series will be published later in the year.
The recent Club Match on the Crane stretch of the River Avon was won by Martin Smith with a weight of 11lb 1oz. Another Club Match will take place tomorrow (1st August) at Century Island Pond, drawing at 1pm, fishing 2pm to 7pm.
The Keeling Cup Match took place on Sunday 27th June at the Mill Ground, River Chew. The winner was Nigel Bateman with 3lb 2oz, fishing from peg 8. Click the link below to view the full result.
Due to a lack of entrants, the 2010 E.M. Palmer Cup evening series at Century Ponds has been cancelled. The Club hopes to bring back the competition in 2011.
Century Island Pond has been fishing very well lately, with weights of 30lb reported, consisting of small Carp, Roach and Perch. The Old Pond continues to produce Carp to 22lb. The River Chew has been fishing well despite low flow.
6th Jun 2010 • All-Night Carp Series Round 3 Result
Round 3 of the 2010 All-Night Carp Series at Century Ponds was won by Matt Smith with 6 fish totalling 46lb 1oz from peg 2. George Clark tops the leaderboard by over 70lbs, with the final round scheduled for 14th August. Results for the E.M. Palmer Cup Matches are not currently available. Sorry.
2nd May 2010 • Two Club Matches At Boyd Valley Lake
The Club has booked Boyd Valley Lake for two Matches on Saturday 8th May. The draw for both will take place at 8am. First Match fishing times are 9am to 1pm. The second Match will fish from 2pm to 7pm. Peg fees are £6.00, with the pools for each Match costing £5.00. Two places are still available. Call Phil on 07973 736519 for further details.
The first round of the E.M. Palmer Cup takes place at Century Island Pond on Wednesday 5th May. The second round of the 2010 All-Night Carp Series commences at 2pm on Saturday 8th May at Century Ponds, which will be closed all day to non-Match anglers on Saturday.
11th Apr 2010 • All-Night Carp Series Round 1 Result
Round 1 of the 2010 All-Night Carp Series at Century Ponds was won by George Clark with a 12-fish haul totalling 127lb 13oz from peg 2. Round 2 of the competition takes place on Saturday 8th May. Next up is a 12-peg Club Match at Century Island Pond on Saturday 24th April, draw at 9am, fishing 10am to 3:30pm.

Ben Groom won the latest Club Match on the Kennet & Avon Canal with a weight of 2lb 10oz. Ben has now won three Matches on the spin. The first round of the All-Night Carp Series takes place at Century Ponds on Saturday 10th April. The Ponds will be closed all day to non-Match anglers.

The recent Arthur Edwards Memorial Cup Match on the Mill Ground stretch of the River Chew was won by Ben Groom with 4lb 5oz of small Chub. Well fished Ben.
A reminder to all Match anglers that the closing date for Knock-Out Competition entries is Wednesday 31st March.
8th Mar 2010 • Mill Ground Stocked With Roach & Rudd
On Wednesday 3rd March 2010, the Mill Ground stretch of the River Chew was stocked with a mixture of 1200 Roach and Rudd ranging between 3 and 5 inches in length.
The fish were supplied by Ed Brown of Furnace Mill Fishery, Wyre Forest, Nr Kidderminster.

26th Feb 2010 • More Barbel, Branches Removed, Match Details, Ponds Re-open
A second stock of Barbel has been added to the River Chew at Chewton Meadow. Over 100 fish measuring 3 to 4 inches were stocked, supplied by Hampshire Carp Hatcheries.
Several working parties have taken place at the Mill Ground to remove fallen branches and snags from the water. Thanks to everyone who attended.

25th Jan 2010 • Century Ponds Closed During February 2010
Century Ponds will be closed for the duration of February while essential maintainence work is carried out at the venue. The one-month break at the quietest time of the angling year will also give the fish a chance to recover. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Century Ponds will be open again on Monday 1st March 2010.
Several Club trophies will be brought back into circulation this year, including The President's Rosebowl (for the best Club Match weight of the season), and the D. & R. Price Cup for the biggest Carp landed in the All-Night Series.
The Match Angler Of The Year Cup will be won by the angler who wins the most matches during 2010, and the Best Contest Weight Cup will be awarded for the biggest Match weight of 2010.
A new four-round, all-species Individual Knock-Out Competition will also take place this year at Century Island Pond, either during Club Matches or at a time agreed between the two anglers drawn together.
At the 2009 Christmas Match, the George Bingham Shield was won by John Nash.
Century Ponds is closed to Members on alternate Sundays until 1pm for clay shooting.

Several of the Association's waters are near overhead power lines carrying up to 132,000 volts. These lines are within reach of rods and poles. Members must maintain a safe fishing distance and must NOT carry assembled rods or poles under these power lines. Always look up.
