2008 ALL-NIGHT CARP MATCH SERIES

• 18 Hour Carp Match [Round 4 of 4] - 13th-4th September 2008
Century Old Pond - 2pm to 8am 1st - George Clark - 113lb 5oz - 9 fish (12lb 1oz, 11lb 13oz, 16lb 15oz, 19lb 15oz, 14lb, 5lb, 8lb 11oz, 14lb 2oz and 10lb 12oz) 2nd - Sonny Hacker - 50lb 10oz - 4 fish (14lb 10oz, 11lb 15oz, 13lb 14oz, 10lb 3oz) 3rd - Craig Andrews - 33lb 2oz - 3 fish (7lb 13oz, 12lb 9oz, and 12lb 12oz) 4th - Alex Seymour - 28lb 0oz - 3 fish (7lb 11oz, 7lb 7oz and 12lb 14oz) 5th - Sean Clark - 10lb 9oz - 1 fish 6th - Ian Tucker - 10lb 4oz - 1 fish Biggest fish - George Clark - 19lb 15oz
A total of 6 anglers entered the fourth round in sunny weather conditions with mist coming down as night fell. The sport was slow during the Saturday but picked up considerably as night fell. George Clark put in a sterling performance to win the round with 9 fish banked for a total weight of 113lb 5oz, easily enough to win the series with a massive total of 274lb 12oz. George also landed the biggest fish of the series (twice!) with a 20lb 5oz mirror in rounds 1 and 2. Second on the day was Sonny Hacker with 4 fish for a total of 50lb 10z. Third place was Craig Andrews with 3 fish for 33lb 2oz, enough to take second place in the series. Third in the series was Joe Hemmings with a combined weight of 78lb 9oz. Overall, the 4-match series saw 78 carp landed totalling 847lb 1oz, with the average fish size coming in a 10lb 13oz. Thanks to George and Ian for organising the series. Century Old Pond - 2pm to 8am 1st - George Clark - 40lb 1oz - 4 fish 2nd - Sean Clark - 24lb 14oz - 3 fish 3rd - Alex Seymour - 21lb 12oz - 2 fish 4th - Craig Andrews - 20lb 0oz - 2 fish 5th - Joe Hemmings - 11lb 3oz - 1 fish 6th - Leon Davidson - 10lb 15oz - 1 fish =7th - Ben Pitman - Nil - 0 fish =7th - Ian Tucker - Nil - 0 fish
A total of 8 anglers entered the third round in fine weather conditions. The top three in the table remains unchanged as George Clark took four fish for a total of 40lb 1oz to win the match. Sean Clark came second with 24lb 14oz to climb to 4th in the table. Alex Seymour came in third with 2 fish for 21lb 12oz. Century Old Pond - 2pm to 8am 1st - George Clark - 101lb 1oz - 9 fish 2nd - Craig Andrews - 69lb 12oz - 8 fish 3rd - Joe Hemmings - 67lb 6oz - 6 fish 4th - Ben Pitman - 38lb 12oz - 4 fish 5th - Ian Tucker - 29lb 1oz - 3 fish 6th - Sean Clark - 11lb 4oz - 1 fish Biggest fish - George Clark - 20lb 5oz The second round of the 2008 Carp series saw 6 anglers compete in warm conditions, landing 31 fish in total. Winner was George Clark with a commendable total of 101lb 1oz, who storms to the top of the leaderboard. Craig Andrews continued his good run of form as runner-up with 69lb 12oz. Joe Hemmings came in third with a great total weight of 67lb 6oz. The biggest fish was a 20lb 5oz mirror caught by George Clark, believed to be the same fish he caught in Round 1. Craig Andrews took first place with 4 fish for a total of 36lb 4oz from peg 10. Ian Tucker was runner-up on peg 6 with 2 fish for a total of 31lb 4oz, which included a fine common. Sean Clark was third with 2 fish for 26lb 10oz from peg 11. The biggest fish of the round was a 20lb 5oz mirror caught by George Clark on peg 12. Thanks to George and Ian for organising the match.
